An opportunity to reflect on the planet and what we can do to improve it. Choosing the Earth is also very much about the sea.
If we choose the Earth, we have to think about the sea.
Caring is creating. The project Art Reef combines the creative power of Vhils the creative power of nature. It's about putting art at the service of raising everyone's awareness of the defence of nature. oceans. The 13 pieces of this intervention were created from materials that once created the electricity that heated and lit us.
Materials removed from the coal-fired power stations of EDP which today aims to switch from fossil-fuelled energy production to fossil-fuelled energy production. renewable technologies. The artist transformed these materials into works of art and, in turn, over time, nature will transform the works of art into a ecosystem of underwater life.
This intervention is a dialogue between art and naturea principle of re-creationin the context of the reuse of materials, something that is recurrent in the work of VhilsThis is a dialogue that is in line with the company's commitment to the arts, which reinterprets them and gives them an artistic meaning and a new function. A dialogue that is in line with the commitment of EDP to choose the path of decarbonisation. To choose art as inspiration and a means of social influence. Of choosing the Earth.
